Area arrests

• William Franklin Gates, 36, 1209 Highland Drive, Chattanooga, Tenn., was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with forgery in the first degree, possession of a controlled substance by fraudulent means and giving false statements.

• Phillip Curtis Jackson, 36, 39 Gale St., Ringgold, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Parker Chase Johnston, 29, 609 Denson Lane, Rome, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, driving without insurance, driving on suspended license and following too closely.

• Brandon Scott Langley, 19, 4177 Brown Bridge Road, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth and failure to appear.

• Aurelio Avisai Alvarado, 27, 224 Library Way, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with criminal trespass, sexual battery, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, false imprisonment and obstructing an emergency call.

• Harold Wayne Bargo, 27, 370 Richardson Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with burglary, forgery in the fourth degree, a probation violation and two counts of theft by taking.

• Dakota Reese Martin, 22, 3291 River Road, N.E., Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Michael Earl Pilcher, 42, 126 Charlie Walls Road, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Georgia State Patrol with driving on a suspended license, speeding, reckless driving, DUI, fleeing or evading a police roadblock, improper passing, failure to maintain lane, failure to stop at a stop sign, a windshield violation and possession of drug related objects.

• Refugio Javier Renteria, 35, 500 Wynfield Drive, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Varnell Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, DUI, failure to maintain lane, open container of alcohol and driving without a valid license.
