Area arrests

• Timothy Rhyan Clarkson, 28, 603 Spring Hill Heights, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by receiving stolen vehicle, possession of meth and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Wendi Nicole Clarkson, 28, 4937 Cline Road, Resaca, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by receiving stolen vehicle, possession of meth and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Dennis Richard Green, 40, 412 Mountain View Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with driving without a valid license and felony theft by taking (theft of auto).

• Eddie Weston Hester, 62, 194 Liberty Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of a crime (drugs).

• Troy Lee Massingill, 39, 2785 Michigan Ave., Cleveland, Tenn., was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale or intent to sell marijuana, window tint violation, no insurance, possession with intent to distribute meth, possession of a schedule 3 drug, removing/affixing license plate with intent to conceal, possession of a schedule 2 drug (two counts), possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, trafficking meth and possession of meth.

• Timothy Luke Overby, 49, 385 Thornton Road S., Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of a crime (drugs).

• Jacob Lee Parsons, 20, 3098 Five Spring Roads, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation, failure to appear on traffic charges and misdemeanor failure to appear.

• Alan Lee Phipps, 35, 707 Houston Valley Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the state probation office with felony probation violation.

• Michael Billy Smithey, 55, 7587 Tails Creek Road, Ellijay, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and failure to drive within single lane.

• Sharon Lynn Wasserman, 42, 1718 Lanier St., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• Joseph Bernard Beaver, 37, 509 N. Selvidge St.-E, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane, open container, driving without a valid license and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drug.

• Jessica Nicole Vinyard, 29, 304 Short St., Niota, Tenn., was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with arson.

• Phillip Curtis Jackson, 38, 5708 Taggart Drive, Chattanooga, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of a schedule 1 drug and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Stephanie Ann Moss, 38, 3355 Chatsworth Highway, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with identity fraud.

• Jennifer Leigh Rodgers, 38, 756 River Road, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Eton Police Department with DUI, failure to drive within single lane and open container in vehicle.

• Shannon Edward Weaver, 30, 1250 Norton Bridge Road, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth and possession and use of drug-related objects.
