Area arrests

• Stuart Edward Doty, 58, 519 Springhill Heights Circle, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, failure to maintain lane and a hit and run.

• David Daniel Mantooth, 33, 1344 Peggy Lane, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with sale of meth.

• Christian Adolfo Moreno, 19, 608 Gay St./698 Keith Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation and misdemeanor probation violation.

• Anthony Small, 41, 515 Parkside Place-73F, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated stalking, failure to appear and giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law officer.

• Craig Duane Bryant, 29, 10 Howard Lane, Crossville, Tenn., was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, impeding the flow of traffic and a tail lights violation.

• Isaac Wesley Davis, 28, 786 Bermuda St.-G4, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Jasmine Storm Dixon, 23, 2000 Rinda Drive, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• Peggy Lou Powell, 44, 2167 Waring Road, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and operating a motor vehicle without a proper tag or decal.

• Desmond Devon Walker, 17, 2518 Turf Drive, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

  • Suspect in custody, will be taken to hospital for evaluation (Updated 9:35 p.m.)

    A man who reportedly barricaded himself on the second floor of a two-story building at 1029 S. Hamilton St. in Dalton, believed to have been armed, is now in custody and is on his way to the hospital for evaluation, officials said.
