Area arrests

• David Stephen Bennett, 17, 515 Wilson Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with manufacture/sale of/dispensing/distributing a controlled substance and possession of a drug-related object.

• Marico Latez Collins, 33, 3425 Through St., Chattanooga, was charged Thursday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with being a fugitive from justice, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law officer.

• Phillip Randall Elkins Jr., 21, 119 Candra Lane, Tunnel Hill, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with sale of or intent to sell marijuana and possession of a schedule 4 drug.

• James Henry Fauscette, 55, 714 Blankenship Road, Resaca, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, failure to maintain lane and impeding traffic flow.

• Jean Marie Jones, 33, 194 Maple Grove Road N.W., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of a schedule 3 drug, possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Jacob Lee Norris, 26, 903 Grandview Place-B6, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of a schedule 3 drug, possession of marijuana, possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Thomas Jackie Smith, 52, 4347 Banks Drive-1, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Georgia State Patrol with failure to report an accident, a hit and run, an open container violation, driving too fast for conditions and failure to maintain lane.

• Stephen Anthony Morrison, 35, homeless, Ringgold, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with unlawful for an inmate to possess a controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth and possession of drug-related objects.

• Matthew Frank Sloan, 39, 941 Houston Valley Road, Ringgold, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession and use of drug-related objects, use of license plate to conceal identity of vehicle and driving while license is suspended or revoked.
