Area arrests

• Brandon Alberto Alean, 19, 306 Painter St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Theodore Charles Bowles, 60, 82 Spring Valley St., Beacon, N.Y., was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with failure to register as a sex offender.

• Ruben Diaz, 34, 202 Jackson St., Cedartown, was placed on hold Monday at the Whitfield County jail for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Ortiz Favio, 24, 601 Walnut Ave., Rome, was placed on hold Monday at the Whitfield County jail for ICE.

• Amber Gaston, 31, 1511 S. Orchard Knob, Chattanooga, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with shoplifting, criminal trespass and being a fugitive from justice.

• Gary Lee Harris, 42, 1716 Stoney Point Circle, Rocky Face, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with purchase, possession or control of a controlled substance.

• Tristan Kirby, 17, 1128 Old Federal Road, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a schedule 3 drug.

• Kristi Nicole Stephens, 29, 167 Tranquil Way, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with purchase, possession or control of a controlled substance.

• Keith Dale Smith, 46, 1923 Tennga Gregory Road, Crandall, was charged Tuesday by the Chatsworth Police Department with obstruction of an officer and possession of drug-related objects.

• Brandi Renee Teague, 31, 35 Litchfield St., Cartersville, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a schedule 4 drug.

• Daniel Shane Widener, 32, 154 Logan Way, Tunnel Hill, was charged Tuesday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with two counts of obstruction of an officer resulting in injury, felony interference with government property, possession and use of drug-related objects and willful obstruction of law officers.
