Area arrests

• Matthew Aaron Arnold, 24, 189 Swinney Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a drug-related object.

• Luis Angle Becerra, 18, 622 Cockburn St., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with criminal attempt to commit a felony.

• Jordan Palacios, 21, 362 Trails End Way, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with felony failure to appear and giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law officer.

• Josue Nicolas Paniagua, 18, 808 Park Creek Way, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with criminal attempt to commit a felony.

• Aaron Chadwick Pickel, 42, 3371 Cleveland Highway, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by receiving stolen vehicle.

• Keri Michelle Davenport, 24, 110 Fuller Chapel Road, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with failure to keep drugs in original container, possession of a schedule 4 drug, two counts of possession of meth and possession of drug-related items.

• Robert James Newsom Jr., 28, 70 Mandolin Court, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with possession of meth, a misdemeanor probation violation, possession of drug-related items and willful obstruction of law officers.

• Gregory Wendell Rutledge, 52, 1900 City View St., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with simple battery, terroristic threats and acts and false imprisonment.

• Bryant Casey Welch, 24, 124 E. Talon Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with a child support violation, sale of meth, use of communication facilities in drug transactions, possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Daniel Floyd Welch, 31, 221 Hillview Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with possession of meth, possession of drug-related items, willful obstruction of law officers and speeding.
