Area arrests

• Daisy Rose Marie Groh, 28, 3762 Chattanooga Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation and felony attempt or conspiracy to violate the Georgia Controlled Substances Act.

• Armando Barrientos, 23, 320 Hannah St., Cedartown, was placed on hold Tuesday at the Whitfield County jail by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Shawn Chad Matthew Bruce, 21, 109 Lucille Drive, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary (forced entry, dwelling) and theft by deception.

• Elizabeth Brooke Daniels, 19, 109 Lucille Drive, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary (forced entry, dwelling) and theft by deception.

• Shawn Ann Duran, 48, 127 McBee St., Dallas, Ga., was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Jimmy David Emerson, 46, 197 Windmill Way, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Laura Garcia, 41, 1428 Antioch Road-401, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with first degree forgery and identity theft fraud.

• Melissa Gonzalez, 27, 465 Frontier Trail, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with three counts of DUI (two for endangering a child under the influence of drugs) and two counts of safety belt violations for children 4 years and younger.

• Stephen Daniel Helle, 37, 698 Hall Station Road, Kingston, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with felony probation violation and speeding.

• Eduardo Maldonado, 28, 1319 McKibben St.-19, Cedartown, was placed on hold Tuesday at the Whitfield County jail by ICE.

• Benjamin McNair, 43, 335 Highland Pointe Drive, Cohutta, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with aggravated assault (other weapon), simple battery, criminal trespass (damage of $500 or less) and cruelty to a child.

• Oscar Arredondo Torres, 33, 1436 97 Springs Road, Dalton, was placed on hold Tuesday at the Whitfield County jail by ICE.

• Roger Wayne Boydston, 45, 118 Old Federal Road, Eton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.

• Travis Eugene Denton, 32, 357 Stanley St., Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Martin Edward King, 49, 200 Dove Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Chatsworth Police Department with giving false information and possession of methamphetamine.

• Jolee Marie McMillan, 48, 1410 S. Michael Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Wednesday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with failure to appear, possession and use of drug-related objects and driving while license is suspended or revoked.
