Area arrests

• Yuner Gomez-Lucas, 29, 156 Lairview Drive, Calhoun, was placed on hold Wednesday at the Whitfield County jail for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Jeremy Paul Irvin, 24, 103 Sunray Drive-3, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with probation violation and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Denise Shelby Kiser, 33, 192 Highland Park Way, Athens, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with failure to appear.

• Sidney Reid Merritt 19, 104 Paddle Wheel Court, Cohutta, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary and theft by deception.

• Juventino Nanez-Ramirez, 26, Jolly Road-4, Calhoun, was placed on hold Wednesday at the Whitfield County jail for ICE.

• Isaac Perez, 40, 292 Ridgeview Lane, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of willful obstruction of law officers; he was also placed on hold for ICE.

• Kevin Shane Roberts, 40, 1221 N. Third Ave., Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth, failure to appear and possession of drug-related items.

• Sammy Joe Tucker Jr., 44, 707 Green Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with a child support violation, having an expired tag or decal, driving while license is suspended or revoked, no insurance, driving when vehicle registration is suspended or revoked, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and taking contraband across guard lines.

• Isais Vasquez-Hernandez, 30, Hanst Drive-16, Calhoun, was placed on hold Wednesday at the Whitfield County jail for ICE.

• Jason Richard Young, 34, 222 Penbrook Way, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, failure to maintain lane, driving while license is suspended or revoked, violation of conditions of limited driving permit and an open container violation.
