Area arrests

• Galandous Brooker, 32, 173 Lillian Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of or intent to sell marijuana, two counts of manufacture of marijuana and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Felipe Garcia-Pastor, 37, 14 Verbena Ave., Rome, was placed on hold Thursday at the Whitfield County jail for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

• Juan Gonzalez-Cortez, 27, 24 Porter St., Cartersville, was placed on hold Thursday at the Whitfield County jail for ICE.

• Mario Herrera, 22, 105 Bufford St., Cartersville, was placed on hold Thursday at the Whitfield County jail for ICE.

• Bruce Tyler Lawson, 34, 3506 Old Freewill Road, Cleveland, Tenn., was charged Thursday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI.

• Rachel Ann Leon-Acevedo, 35, 622 W. Fort St., Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with shoplifting and with possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Roy Daniel Miller, 38, 1110 Cohutta Beaverdale Road, Cohutta, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with sale of meth.

• Hayden Lewis Morrison, 17, 500 Harrison Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of marijuana and carrying a deadly weapon at gatherings.

• William Jay Stengard, 50, 212 Gwendolyn Lee Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI; having the wrong class of driver’s license; failure to maintain lane; operating a motor vehicle while registration is suspended, revoked or canceled; driving too fast for conditions; operating a motor vehicle without a proper tag or decal; and driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• John Marconi, 43, 586 N. Palisades Circle, Marietta, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, failure to maintain lane and violation of conditions on limited driving permit.

• Sergio Medina, 35, 435 Fourth Ave., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, driving too fast for conditions and failure to change name or address within 60 days.
