Area arrests

• Kenneth Ricky Bain Jr., 20, 1976 Red Cut Road-G, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth, probation violation and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Amber Nicole Baldwin, 29, 920 Avenue F-1, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with sale or intent to sell marijuana, possession to distribute meth, possession of a schedule 3 drug, possession of a schedule 4 drug, possession of marijuana, trafficking in meth, possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Jimmy Lamar Burk, 36, 2210-B Leonard Bridge Road, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of burglary, entering an automobile with intent to commit a felony, theft by taking, willful obstruction of law officers and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Darrell Dewayne Campbell, 46, 300 W. Ezzard Ave., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with deposit account fraud.

• Deborah Shaw Evanyk, 48, 340 Cedar Valley Lane, Decatur, Tenn., was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a schedule 2 drug, possession of a schedule 3 drug, failure to stop at a stop sign, no proof of insurance and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

• Gary Jerome Jeffers, 29, 126 Charlewalls, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with two counts of burglary, two counts of pocket picking, criminal trespass and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• J. Refugia Nunez Jr., 27, 920 Avenue F-1, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with sale or intent to sell marijuana, possession to distribute meth, possession of a schedule 3 drug, possession of a schedule 4 drug, possession of marijuana, trafficking in meth, possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Alan Lee Phipps, 34, 130 E. Lee Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with financial transaction card theft, drugs not in original container, two counts of possession of a schedule 2 drug and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Brooke Neashae Pratt, 22, 682 Tarvin Road, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession to distribute meth; possession, sale or distribution of dangerous drugs; inmate possessing a controlled substance; possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Alejandro Ramirez, 17, 403 Water St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with burglary.

• Joshua Aaron Bassham, 23, 357 Century Station Drive, Rossville, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession to distribute meth, possession of a schedule 4 drug, possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Arthur James Morrow, 27, 911 Wentworth Ave., Chattanooga, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession to distribute meth, possession of a schedule 4 drug, possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Brandy Morrow, 32, 5911 Wentworth Ave., Chattanooga, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession to distribute meth, possession of a schedule 4 drug, possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Josie Jones Nichols, 41, 374 Bointon Drive, Ringgold, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession to distribute meth, unlawful to purchase/possess a controlled substance, possession of a schedule 2 drug, possession of meth, possession of a schedule 3 drug, possession of a schedule 4 drug and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Jeremy Matthew Owenby, 23, 505 Bethel Church Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with sale or intent to sell marijuana, possession of tools for the commission of crime and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

  • Police: Gun fired, man arrested following dispute on Morris Street (Updated 12:20 p.m.)

    A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after firing a gun following a dispute at A-1 Towing at 1502 E. Morris St. in Dalton this morning, police said.

  • Bond hearings canceled for two charged in murder case

    Bond hearings for Fernando Resendiz and Jovencio Vega-Garcia, charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with the fatal shooting of a security guard at Las Delicias on Morris Street in Dalton, have been canceled.

  • Suspect Photo 2.jpg DPD seeks identity of credit card theft suspects

    The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects who used a stolen credit card on March 31 to make purchases at two locations in Dalton. One of the suspects was captured on surveillance video at a gas station and the second suspect was described to investigators by witnesses.
