Area arrests

• Linda Clara Belle Borden, 50, 210 Downing St., Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of tools for the commission of crime (violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act).

• Abraham Castro, 23, 683 U.S. 411 N., Lot A, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Eton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Colby Don Davis, 25, 58 Scarlett Lane, Ringgold, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with false report of a crime and criminal attempt to commit a felony.

• Ronnie Allen Edwards, 50, 1009 Ponderosa Place-6, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with trafficking in meth and possession of tools for the commission of crime (violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act).

• Fern Nicole Sanchez-Resendiz, 30, 3088 Kenwood Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of sale of meth, possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of tools for the commission of crime (violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act).

• Tommy Wallace Smith, 55, 249 Rainbow Hill Drive, Blue Ridge, was charged Wednesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, consuming an intoxicating beverage within four hours of operating a commercial vehicle, operating a vehicle while having measurable alcohol in system and a violation concerning trucks using multi-lane highways.

• Gerald Chadwick Williams, 38, 5572 Apison Road, Cohutta, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with simple assault, theft by taking, criminal trespass and probation violation.

• Robert Brandon Headrick, 27, 212 Old Bellwood Road, Calhoun, was charged Thursday by the Georgia State Patrol with an open container violation, DUI, endangerment of a child under 14 by DUI and failure to drive within a single lane.
