Area arrests

• Robert Dewayne Battles, 33, 1332 Ga. Highway 286, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with use of communication facilities in committing a crime and manufacturing/selling/dispensing/distributing a controlled substance.

• Travis Glenn Carroll, 33, 4041 Keith Valley Road, Cohutta, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with identity theft fraud, possession of a schedule 2 drug, two counts of giving a false name/address/date of birth to a law officer, possession of drug-related items and driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• David Scott Edwards, 33, 251 Murray Springs Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of meth.

• Malinda Kay Ellard, 31, 210 Cheyenne Trail, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with first degree forgery, giving false statements, giving false information or a false name and obstruction of an officer.

• Damian Michael Green, 18, 635 Dewberry Church Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Chatsworth Police Department with purchase, possession or control of a controlled substance.

• Debralea Rena Singleton, 35, 611 Stomp St.-5, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with shoplifting, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and misdemeanor probation violation.

• David Pulce, 47, no street address listed, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with terroristic threats and acts, panhandling and loitering/prowling.

• Nelson Elias Sanchez-Saucedo, 38, 544 Deck Drive, Rocky Face, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.

• Darrien Terrell, 45, no address listed, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, driving without a valid license and duty upon striking a fixed object.
