Area arrests

• Dakota Conrad Brown, 27, 4056 Sue Lane, Decatur, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a Schedule 2 drug, possession of a Schedule 4 drug, possession of tools for the commission of crime and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony.

• David Lamar Cook, 51, 1518 Tickum Road, Rocky Face, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth.

• Cass Jeon Costen, 22, 483 Rockbridge Trail, Stone Mountain, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a Schedule 2 drug, possession of a Schedule 4 drug, possession of tools for the commission of crime, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony and speeding.

• Christopher Raymond Hite, 40, 107 Walker Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources with possession of meth and possession of drug-related objects.

• Charles Justin Jones, 31, 603 Old Highway 2, Cisco, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit a crime, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth, possession of a drug-related object and possession, manufacture, transport or distribution of a destructive device.

• Matthew Lomeli, 23, 205 Camellia Court, Franklin, Tenn., was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects.

• Laura Suzanne Lowe, 27, 584 Liberty Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with manufacture or possession to distribute an imitation controlled substance and sale of meth.

• Billy Wedwar McHan II, 21, 310 Patricia Lane, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated stalking.

• Morgan Brittany McLure, 20, 4988 Gulf Valley Court, Douglas, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with speeding, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects.

• Frank Warren Thompson III, 36, 1745 Brighton Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with sale of meth, probation violation, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, tinted or obscured tag, a tint violation and possession of drug-related objects.

• Joseph Dillon Woodward, 20, 10199 Big Pine Lane, Soddy Daisy, Tenn., was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with possession of a Schedule 2 drug, possession of a Schedule 4 drug, possession of tools for the commission of crime and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony.

• Christopher James Adams, 27, 5491 Gun Powder Road, Hickory, N.C., was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of or intent to sell marijuana and possession of a Schedule 3 drug.

• Juan Luis Alcala-Garcia, 39, 2735 Roberts Circle, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, failure to maintain lane, driving with a suspended or revoked license and failure to stop at a stop sign.

• Richard Ryan Anthony, 26, 750 Franklin Road, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with battery (family violence), first-degree forgery, terroristic threats and actions, an open container violation, driving without a valid license, cruelty to a child (allowing to witness felony, battery or family violence) and giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law officer.

• Melvin Alexander Ariza, 20, 39 Levi Circle, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Jose Mersed Fraire, 62, 613 Burchfield Ave., Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, failure to register vehicle and improper parking.
