Area arrests

• Kenny Brian Becerra, 23, 391 Gryder Road, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with possession to distribute meth, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of meth.

• David Stephen Bennett Jr., 17, 505 Wilson Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of or intent to sell marijuana, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of tools for the commission of crime, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony and speeding.

• Travis Glenn Carroll, 34, 35 Vermont St., Ringgold, was charged Monday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with manufacturing or possession to distribute an imitation controlled substance, DUI (drugs), willful obstruction of law officers, driving without a valid license and driving without insurance.

• Jessie John Davalos, 32, 429 Robinwood Circle, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Nathan Jade Flores, 18, 3031 Five Springs Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth.

• Dale Leon Manis, 41, 112 Charlie Walls Road, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of meth, possession to distribute meth, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of tools for the commission of crime and possession of meth.

• Derek Jason Phillips, 20, 207 Valley Drive, Resaca, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with probation violation, burglary, criminal trespass and three counts of theft by taking motor vehicle.

• Ronald Jerald Cross, 49, 190 Stanley St., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with simple battery (family violence) and obstructing an emergency call.
