Area arrests

• Phillip David Bass Jr., 34, 1119 Ridgeleigh Circle, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, following too closely, failure to report an accident and hit and run.

• Becky Marie Davis, 33, 279 Shawns Lane, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with drugs out of original container, possession of a schedule III drug, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Luis Alberto Mendoza, 26, 206 Forest Hill Road, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, failure to yield when entering a roadway and failure to change address or name within 60 days.

• Ivan Paiz-Perez, 21, 703 Tinsley St., Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, driving on a suspended license, open container of alcohol, impeding the flow of traffic and improper stopping on roadway.

• Zebadiah Damon Henderson, 37, Tunnel Hill, was charged Sunday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with DUI.

• Phillip Michael House, 49, Murray Avenue Apartments, No. 15, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with drugs out of original container and possession of a schedule IV drug.

• Raul Francisco Juarez Jr., 25, Calhoun, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, open container of alcohol and failure to stop at a stop sign.

• Jason Wayne Wright, 31, 121 Villanow Mill Creek Spur, LaFayette, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, failure to maintain lane and driving with an expired license.

  • Suspect in custody, will be taken to hospital for evaluation (Updated 9:35 p.m.)

    A man who reportedly barricaded himself on the second floor of a two-story building at 1029 S. Hamilton St. in Dalton, believed to have been armed, is now in custody and is on his way to the hospital for evaluation, officials said.
