Area arrests


— • Rita Fay Borowiec, 49, 1080 Ben Hill Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a Schedule 4 drug, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of tools for the commission of crime and failure to maintain lane.

• Brandon Trace Burrell, 18, 1178 Highway 225 S., Lot 98, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Eton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, obstruction of an officer, underage consumption, open container in vehicle and possession of drug-related objects.

• Patchen Gates, 22, 166 Holly Drive C, Calhoun, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking, second degree criminal damage to property and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Lawrence Dwight Howell, 51, 1080 Ben Hill Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a Schedule 4 drug and an open container violation.

• Randy Scott York, 20, 2811 Dug Gap Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking, second degree criminal damage to property and possession of tools for the commission of crime.

• Charles Nathadius Carter, 44, 827 Smith St., Atlanta, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

• Edward Quinntaye Hines, 19, 2800 Camp Creek Parkway, B4, Atlanta, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking and sale, distribution or possession of dangerous drugs.

• Vincent B. Mitchell, 20, 552 Lovejoy, Atlanta, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking; sale, distribution or possession of dangerous drugs; and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Daniel Gene Rymer, 38, 575 Highway 2 E., Cisco, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with child molestation.

• Tiffany Lynn Stone, 27, 709 McAfee St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with possession to distribute methamphetamine.
