Area arrests

• Joshua Aaron Cruz, 22, 254 Highland Way, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Heather Lashae Goble, 23, 2984 Underwood Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Tim Anthony Hampton, 23, 635 Old Sawmill Road, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and driving without headlights when required.

• Samantha Lashay Oglesby, 20, 84 Old Federal Road S., Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Daniel Lee Roberts, 27, 1309 Felice St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with battery (family violence), criminal trespass, obstructing an emergency call and false imprisonment.

• Sherrie Annette Stamey, 45, 931 Hulana St., Rossville, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony failure to appear.

• Stephen Jerome Williams, 24, 638 Tilton Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with burglary, theft by receiving a stolen vehicle, possession of tools for the commission of crime (burglary), and giving false statements.

• Joshua Dustin Brooker, 23, 908 W. Crawford St.-4, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to stop at a stop sign.

• Michael Lebron Muse, 51, 311 Shields Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Tuesday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with possession of meth, failure to appear and willful obstruction of law officers.

  • Suspect in custody, will be taken to hospital for evaluation (Updated 9:35 p.m.)

    A man who reportedly barricaded himself on the second floor of a two-story building at 1029 S. Hamilton St. in Dalton, believed to have been armed, is now in custody and is on his way to the hospital for evaluation, officials said.
