Area arrests

• Joshua Devin Bowling, 22, 653 Lower Dawnville Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of sale of or intent to sell marijuana, use of communication facilities in drug transactions and possession of marijuana.

• Amanda Nicole Goss, 29, 1673 Nugget Lane, Ellijay, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault.

• Derrick Edwards Goss, 29, 101 Windy Hill Lane, Fairmount, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault.

• Eric Lee Green, 32, 225 Farrar Road, Cohutta, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by receiving a stolen vehicle.

• Allen Wesley Hardin, 53, 1067 Prince Beam Road, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, driving on the wrong side of the road, an open container violation, failure to drive within a single lane, driving too fast for conditions and a child safety restraint violation.

• Sonya Lee Hazel, 43, 226 Club Trail, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI (drugs) and failure to maintain lane.

• Artemio Silon Jiminez, 26, 29 Lawman Lane, Tunnel Hill, was charged Monday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with DUI.

• Michael McDowell, 27, 5511 Anne St., Ooltewah, Tenn., was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with felony theft by shoplifting.

• Coy Lee Sampson, 69, 1806 Bridgewater Way-A, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with terroristic threats and acts and disorderly conduct.

• Ronald Christopher Sampson, 45, 1264 Ga. Highway 52, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of hydrocodone and failure to keep drugs in original container.

• James Walter Whiters, 51, 8506 Pineland Drive-C, Jonesboro, was charged Monday by the Georgia State Patrol with not keeping drugs in original container, possession of a schedule 3 drug, DUI (drugs), driving while license is suspended or revoked, driving too fast for conditions and failure to maintain lane.

• Kaci Wright, 33, 275 Crow Valley, Cleveland, Tenn., was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with felony theft by shoplifting.

• Virgil Ray Hammontree, 48, 1308 Felice St., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, hit and run, driving too fast for conditions and improper lane usage.
