Area arrests

• James Tracy Brown, 40, 123 River Meadow Drive, Calhoun, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by shoplifting.

• Kaleb Lamar Huffines, 24, 167 Old Federal Road, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault and failure to appear.

• Darren Xavier Johnson, 20, 3393 Highway 286, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary.

• Kasey Elaina Klippert, 32, 1441 Highway 52 Alternate-C, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by shoplifting and probation violation.

• Randall Lewis Klippert, 35, 2359 Highway 52 Alternate, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with felony theft by shoplifting.

• Stephen Kyle Lay, 26, 1452 Fox Bridge Road S.W., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Varnell Police Department with theft by taking, theft by deception and first-degree forgery.

• Thomas Alvin Long, 57, 1108 W. Hawthorne St., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and running a red light.

• Jason Matthew Cantrell, 40, 521 Bud Holland Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of meth and possession of meth.

• Samantha Heath, 24, 124 E. Talon Way, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• Sue Nicole Massingill, 25, 124 E. Talon Way, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• George Edward Ray, 63, 135 Commonwealth Way, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• Jose Luis Trejo-Rodriguez, 26, 160 Scenic Valley Place-39, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with battery (family violence), cruelty to children in the third degree, probation violation, failure to maintain lane, driving on a suspended or revoked license, hit and run and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
