Area arrests

• Adrian Aguilera-Paniagua, 19, 381 Red Clay Ave.-813, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault, battery (family violence), criminal trespass, public drunkenness, furnishing/purchasing/possession of alcohol by a minor, willful obstruction of law officers and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drug.

• Margaret Ann Amenita, 39, 401 Old Apison Road, Cohutta, was charged Friday by state probation with felony probation violation.

• Daniel Eugene Brown, 32, 2164 Vinewood Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and headlights violation.

• Malinda Kay Ellard, 31, 210 Cheyenne Trail, Dalton, was charged Friday by state probation with felony probation violation.

• Justin Anselmo Lopez, 25, 101 Westerly Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, speeding, failure to maintain lane, operating a vehicle without a proper tag or decal and driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• Brandon Scott Nelson, 25, 75 Cochburn Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by shoplifting, misdemeanor theft by shoplifting and failure to appear.

• Candice Kay Prince, 26, 351 Windmill Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by state probation with felony probation violation.

• Chad Lydell Roberson, 26, 947 Fox Bridge Road, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by taking.

• Dorothy Lois Smith, 38, 201 New Zion Hill Road, Dalton, was charged Friday by with felony failure to appear and bondsman off bond.

• Luiz Lopez, 29, 1210 Ludie St., Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, failure to maintain lane, too fast for conditions, operating a motor vehicle while registration is suspended/revoked/canceled, no insurance and driving without a valid license.
