The Daily Citizen's weekly sports podcast returns to a two-man group. Who likes some karaoke Stevie Ray Vaughan?
New lines drawn
Dalton High School will be isolated from the area’s athletic programs and North Murray and Murray County are expected to have an official rivalry, according to classification divisions released Monday by the Georgia High School Association.
Friday Night Rewind: Dalton, Northwest Whitfield lacking key parts of offenses in defeats
Similar to the season’s start, Dalton High School football fans were wondering about running back Kelvis Rhodes’ status..
And like before, other running backs combined to fill the void for the Catamounts.
A Look Ahead: Lions last of local football teams to cheer for
One remains, and that number could be a sad zero if Christian Heritage doesn’t gain some revenge Friday.

Mat time: New season brings hope, challenges
Who will find their place on the top step of the medal stand this season?
While there’s certainly no guarantee, in recent years it has been closer to a habit than not for a high school wrestling program in Murray County or Whitfield County to produce at least one champion at the state traditional tournament each season.
Ready for the first round

The Catamounts may need a similar strategy for another appearance in the second round this season.
Chris Whitfield: How great of a year can it end up being?
By northwest Georgia high school football standards, this has been the best season since I joined The Daily Citizen’s staff in 2010.
Three teams from our coverage area — Dalton, Northwest Whitfield and Christian Heritage — are in the state playoffs, and a couple of the state’s best teams are locked in our little corner of the world as well, with Calhoun and Cartersville looking highly capable of making deep postseason runs in Classes 2A and 3A, respectively.
