Keep on firing away
Instead of driving in for an easy layup, Northwest Whitfield High School’s Mallory Souther took yet another 3-point shot.

Prep Roundup: Lady ’Neers finish third; boys fourth
After big losses Monday night in the Region 5-3A semifinals, both North Murray High School basketball teams wanted better results in their final games at the tournament.

Dalton High School’s boys basketball team took away all of the suspense on the court Friday night, earning a share of the Sub-region 7B-4A title with a 92-65 win over Ridgeland in a game that wasn’t close nearly from the opening tip.
The real drama came in the back rooms of the Cats Den.
