Speeding Bullets and Trail Blazers earn wins

— The Dalton Inline Hockey League continued its 2012-13 season with a third week of play Tuesday at The Zone Skate Center.

In elementary/middle school division competition, the Fire Blazers topped the Speeding Bullets 8-4 behind a four-goal, two-assist performance by Luke Cochran.

Jamesen Shook and Mikaylah Cochran each added a pair of goals, with the latter also assisting on a score, while Aden Scibilia had four saves for the Fire Blazers.

For the Speeding Bullets, Erica Tallent had three goals, Amos Koop scored the other, Dara Cochran chipped in an assist and Harrison Cochran finished with nine saves.

In high school/college division competition, Jason Cochran had four goals and two assists as the Trail Blazers topped the Silver Bullets 7-5.

Stephanie Koop, Nathan Gonthier and Michael Koop each added a goal — Stephanie Koop also had three assists — while Alexis Tallent made 15 saves in goal for the Trail Blazers.

For the Silver Bullets, Justin Hawkins and Taylor Harper each had a goal and an assist, while Jonathan Cochran, Hannah Gonthier and David Tallent each scored once and Jonathan Davis finished with 21 saves.
