Dolphins finish up duals; ‘City’ is next

— The Dalton Dolphins wrapped up their Chattanooga Area Swim League dual meet schedule Monday with a 460-286 victory at Fort Oglethorpe, finishing atop the Blue Division standings with a 7-1 mark.

Six Dalton swimmers scored the maximum 19 points for an individual — Nash Bingham, Hannah Smith, Romina Mendoza, Ethan Young, Joana Rosales and Taylor Dale.

Abby O’Ferrall and Elle Lyles each added 17 points, while Oscar Chenard had 16 and Ethan pence, Daniela Hannah and Rebecca Davis each chipped in 15. Scoring 13 were Lindsey Mulkey and Patrice Porter.

Other double-digit scorers were Asher Pence, Hollie Porter, Sean Lee, Emilie Smith and Wil Cushman (13); Raul Valdez (11); and Jonathan Shaheen, Reese Bingham and Alex Wood (10).

The Dolphins finish the 2011 CASL with the season-ending City Meet on July 23-24 at Chattanooga’s Warner Park, where they’ll try to knock off rival Signal Mountain (Tenn.), winner of the past four City Meets.
