The long-time voice of WWE, Jim Ross, this week retired from the company to focus on his business ventures. He had also been on the “Spoken Word” tour earlier this year. Although Ross had not appeared on air regularly with WWE, he served as talent evaluator for the company.
“Jim has made many contributions to WWE and the sports-entertainment industry, and we thank him for his many years of service and wish him well,” according to a WWE press release.
• The most recent installment of “Total Divas” on E! registered its lowest viewership of the season.
• Jerry “The King” Lawler continues his wrestling career with a match against Jeff Jarrett tonight at Resorts Casino in Tunica, Miss.
