Jamie Jones: Film delay due to Rock's Wrestlemania injury?

— Here are the notes and news items from the world of pro wrestling: Midway through The Rock’s match vs. John Cena at Wrestlemania 29, Hollywood held its breath.

The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) tore his abdominal and adductor tendons off his pelvis while delivering a Rock Bottom to Cena.

The injury means rehab for The People’s Champ. He is slated to begin filming “Hercules” later this month.

• The Rock wasn’t the only grappler injured at Wrestlemania. Triple H suffered second degree burns to his torso after dry ice hit him during a pyrotechnics malfunction on his way to the ring.

The Local Corner: “A Fight for Hope” is at 8 tonight at the TWA Arena at 2500 Reed Road. The wrestling show is a benefit for Nathan Panther, who is undergoing chemotherapy treatments. Admission is a $5 donation.

The main event features Tyler Sutton vs. Mikey Watkins in an inferno death match with special guest referee Rick Justice. Also expected to wrestle are Michael Cross, Chris Hart, Mickey Gotti, Torque, Drew Myers and more.

Action continues at Renegade Championship Wrest-ling, which runs at 8 p.m. Saturdays at 806 2nd Ave. in Chatsworth.

Trivia Teaser: Who trained Jim Brunzell?

Check back next week for the answer.

Last week’s question: Before becoming a pro wrestler, The Ultimate Warrior (Jim Hellwig) was pursuing this profession in Marietta.

He planned to be a chiropractor.
