Here are the notes and news items from the week in the world of pro wrestling: Many in the audience weren’t happy with C.M. Punk’s effusive praise of himself on Monday night’s edition of “Raw.” Count “Superstar” Billy Graham, a WWE Hall of Fame member, as another detractor.
Graham took to Facebook to rant about Punk’s declaration that he is the best WWE champ ever.
“How can they justify putting down a real icon like this, and not get called out on it?” Graham wrote.
• “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero left TNA after his contract expired Jan. 1.
• El Generico has reportedly signed with WWE.
The Local Corner: Action continues at TWA.
TWA Friday Night Brawl runs at 8 p.m. at the TWA Arena off Reed Road in north Whitfield County, about three miles north of the bypass. The TWA Action Zone runs at 8 p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets for all shows are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12; senior citizens 60 years and older with proof of age will be admitted for $3. Kids younger than 6 are admitted free. Any military member with proper identification will be admitted free. If it’s your birthday, you will be admitted free.
