Here are the notes and news items from the week in pro wrestling: Sting has left TNA. But will he resurface in WWE?
Some say he will. Sort of.
Sting sent out a Tweet this week that simply said, “07.14.14.” While his fans probably hope this signals the historic date on which he will finally join WWE, many in the industry believe this is when WWE will announce Sting is a playable character in the video game “WWE 2K15.”
• WWE Network is in the midst of a free week of programming that ends Monday. Subscription numbers for the network have been underwhelming thus far.
• Officially booked for Chicago Comic Con are Batista, John Cena, Paige, Bruno Sammartino and Bray Wyatt.
The Local Corner: Renegade Championship Wrestling is at 8 p.m. Saturdays at 806 Second Ave. in Chatsworth.
Southern Style Pro Wrestling is at 8 p.m. Saturdays at 4484 Highway 411 N., next to Eton Flea Market near the Ferris wheel. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and older and free for children 12 and younger.
