Here are the notes and news items from the world of pro wrestling: Rumors are still swirling that Goldberg will appear at Wrestlemania 2014 to wrestle in one final match.
• Ted DiBiase has left WWE. He broke the news in a YouTube video posted this week. DiBiase did not give a reason for his departure, only saying he decided not to re-sign with WWE.
“I’m not saying this is forever,” DiBiase said. “And hopefully there will be some good times in the future, too. We’ll see. But until then, I’m going fishing.”
• Jerry “The King” Lawler will wrestle on Sept. 7 in Covington, Tenn. The match marks almost one year since Lawler suffered a heart attack live on WWE “Raw.”
The Local Corner: TWA Friday Night Brawl is at 8 p.m. at the TWA Arena off Reed Road in north Whitfield County, about three miles north of the bypass. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12; senior citizens 60 and older with proof of age will be admitted for $3. Kids younger than 6 will be admitted free. Any military member with proper identification will be admitted free. If it’s your birthday, you will be admitted free.
Renegade Championship Wrestling is at 8 p.m. Saturdays at 806 Second Ave. in Chatsworth.
