Middle school roundup: Bagley girls basketball sweeps Gladden

Savannah Satterfield erupted for 24 points to lead Bagley Middle School’s eighth-grade girls basketball team to a 38-31 victory on Thursday at Gladden.

Bagley led 21-6 at halftime before Gladden outscored the Lady Braves (5-2) in each of the final two quarters.

Gladden did not report statistics.

Bagley seventh-grade girls 42, Gladden 14: Sarah Plemons led all scorers with 17 points and Hannah Blackwell chipped in 14 points — all but two in the first half — as the Lady Braves (5-2) won on the road Thursday.

Gladden did not report statistics.

Bagley eighth-grade boys 41, Gladden 21: Waylyn James had 16 points to lead the Braves (6-1) in Thursday’s home win, while teammate Conner Rice added seven points.

Tucker Gregg scored 13 points to pace the Warriors offensively.

Gladden seventh-grade boys 31, Bagley 18: Trevor Cox scored 21 points to lead the Warriors to victory on the road Thursday.

Kenneth Hamlin and Emory Ware each had five points to lead Bagley (2-5).

Westside eighth-grade boys 52, Eastbrook 2: Phillip Painter accounted for all of Eastbrook’s points in Thursday’s road loss.

Westside did not report statistics.

Eastbrook seventh-grade boys 30, Westside 24: Denzel Allen had nine points and five steals, while Ivan Ramirez finished with eight points and 11 rebounds as the Mustangs picked up a win on the road Thursday.

Westside did not report statistics.

    Tuesday night was the third time in a row that the Coahulla Creek and North Murray high school boys soccer teams have faced each other and played to a scoreless tie through regulation and overtime.
    In the previous two meetings, North Murray won on penalty kicks.
