Jamie Jones: TNA deal in works for Mr. Kennedy

Here are the notes and news items from the week in pro wrestling: Big news from Mr. Kennedy. On the radio show “4th & Pain,” Kennedy said he hopes to return to TNA soon. Currently, lawyers for both sides are hammering out contract details.

“I have no intentions of not being with TNA,” Kennedy said. “I’ve been pretty happy with, creatively, the direction I’ve gone in the last month or so. I’m looking forward to coming back.”

• Who are the cover boys for the “SummerSlam” poster? Wyatt Family members Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Bray Wyatt.

• If “Stone Cold” Steve Austin returned to WWE for a match at Wrestlemania, who would his top opponents be? The Pro Wrestling Torch answered that question. From No. 1 to No. 5a and No. 5b are: CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, The Rock and Triple H.

    Tuesday night was the third time in a row that the Coahulla Creek and North Murray high school boys soccer teams have faced each other and played to a scoreless tie through regulation and overtime.
    In the previous two meetings, North Murray won on penalty kicks.

    This season, high school golf teams in Murray and Whitfield counties — with a few exceptions — have struggled to put up strong scores on the course. Beyond that, in some cases local schools don’t even have the required amount of golfers to register a team score at region tournaments, per Georgia High School Association rules, with hopes of making the sectional and state tournaments.
