Class offered to prep for Run for God race

The Bradley Wellness Center will host a six-week triathlon training class starting Saturday in preparation for the Run for God’s Junior and Adult Sprint Triathlon on July 27.

The classes include running training at 6 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays; swimming training at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. on Saturdays; and bike training during group ride classes at to-be-determined times.

The triathlon will take place at the John Davis Recreation Center at 904 Civic Drive in Dalton. There will be an adult race, senior/intermediate race for ages 9-15 and junior race for ages 6-8. The adult race is a 300-meter swim, 12-mile bike ride and 2-mile run. The senior/intermediate race is a 150-meter swim, 4-mile bike ride and 1-mile run. The junior race is a 50-meter swim, 2-mile bike ride and 1-mile run.
