"After Deadline" duo will talk soccer semis, spring football, state golf

“After Deadline,” The Daily Citizen’s weekly sports podcast with sports writers Devin Golden and Chris Whitfield, will be delayed to this afternoon as Whitfield and Golden plan on talking about Tuesday’s Class 4A state soccer semifinals.

Usually posted on Wednesdays at noon to The Daily Citizen’s website, this week’s podcast will offer analysis of Dalton’s 5-0 victory over Spalding and Southeast Whitfield’s 1-0 loss at Johnson-Gainesville. They will also look ahead at Saturday’s state championship game. Spring football practice is in the air, and the GHSA state golf tournaments will be played in the Augusta area on Monday. Also, the duo will offer another culinary take in their “Food for Fought” segment.
