North Georgia Hayastan fighter wins debut

Erik Rojo won his mixed martial arts debut while representing Dalton’s North Georgia Hayastan MMA Academy on Saturday at Volunteer Brawl in Knoxville, Tenn.

Rojo finished his fight against Jeremy Goins with a submission-drawing rear naked choke in the first round. Goins entered the bout with a 1-0 record.

North Georgia Hayastan, which moved to its new location at 2104 E. Morris St. last December, expects to have several new fighters make their MMA debut in August. To learn more, visit
