Hooker's dozen leads Bruins frosh in defeat

Northwest Whitfield High School’s freshman boys basketball team lost 50-40 to visiting Walker Valley (Tenn.) on Thursday night.

Alex Hooker’s 12-point effort paced the Bruins (8-6), while Jay Jones chipped in nine points.

Northwest led 25-23 at halftime but was unable to maintain its lead in the second half and came up short in its bid to avenge a 22-point road loss from earlier this season to Walker Valley.
