Jamie Jones: Legends reunited for 'Swap'

Here are the notes and news items from the world of pro wrestling: During their wrestling careers, Ric Flair and Roddy Piper swapped plenty of punches. Now they’re swapping lives and homes.

The wrestling legends will appear on ABC’s “Celebrity Wife Swap” at 8 p.m. on June 30. Flair’s girlfriend, Wendy, will live with Piper for a week while Piper’s wife, Kitty, will live with Flair for a week.

An ABC press release describes the families: “Ric and Wendy live a very lavish and fast-paced lifestyle and enjoy the finer things in life, spending most evenings out on the town where Ric revels in his celebrity and the attention of fans. The Pipers are a close-knit family who enjoy spending time at home together. Kitty is solely responsible for the running of the home, including cooking, cleaning and caring for the family’s animals.”

• WWE wrestler Daniel Bryan is legitimately injured, according to several reports.

The Local Corner: TWA Friday Night Brawl is at 8 p.m. at the TWA Arena off Reed Road in north Whitfield County, about three miles north of the bypass. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12; senior citizens 60 and older with proof of age will be admitted for $3. Kids younger than 6 will be admitted free. Any military member with proper identification will be admitted free. If it’s your birthday, you will be admitted free.

Renegade Championship Wrestling is at 8 p.m. Saturdays at 806 Second Ave. in Chatsworth. TNA’s Gunner and Steven Walters will face off in a steel cage match this week.

Trivia Teaser: What adjective was used to describe Ron Garvin during his stint in the WWF?

Check back next week for the answer.

Last week’s question: The Road Warriors said they snacked on this and dined on what?

They snacked on danger and dined on death.
