Dalton State in middle of pack at Sand Shark

— The Dalton State College men’s golf team is fifth out of eight teams at the two-day Sand Shark Classic at Oldfield Golf Club in Okatie, S.C.

The Roadrunners shot a two-round total of 607 and are 26 strokes behind the College of Coastal Georgia, which leads with a 581 and is five strokes better than second-place Johnson and Wales (Fla.) College. The two-day tournament is a 54-hole event with the final round scheduled for today.

Tobias Ebner was tied for 14th individually with a 6-over-par 150 on the day with back-to-back 75s. Other scores for Dalton State were Levi Nix (77-75, 152), Anthony D’Angelo (76-77, 153), Tyler Mitchell (78-75, 153) and Chase Jones (77-78, 155).
