Dalton Rebel Lacrosse earns second win of season

The Dalton Rebel Lacrosse middle school team beat Tennessee’s Signal Mountain Eagles 2-1 Thursday night at Lakeshore Park in Dalton.

Dalton, which evened its season record to 2-2, got goals from Sebastian Cruz and Christian Owen, with Zane Gowin recording two saves in goal.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the team, and this win goes a long way toward helping us grow the sport of lacrosse in northwest Georgia,” Dalton coach Mike Sanderson said.

The Dalton Rebel Lacrosse program is supported by the Dalton Recreation Department and the Northwest Georgia Lacrosse Club.

The program’s elementary school team kicks of its season against Chattanooga’s East Brainerd Raptors at 5:50 p.m. on April 8 at Lakeshore Park. The middle school team’s next game is April 10 at Chattanooga’s McCallie School.
