Prep roundup: Indians soccer coach looks beyond victory in assessment of team



Dalton girls 150, Southeast 155: Lady Raiders senior Megan Collins shot a 5-over par 41 to claim medalist honors by seven strokes, but Dalton’s balance gave the Lady Cats the nine-hole victory at Indian Trace in Chatsworth.

Olga Fouche led Dalton with a 48, and she was joined by Carson Roberts (52) and Bailee Mitchell (54). For Southeast, Bethany Riddix (55) and Tori Bailey (59) joined Collins with scoring rounds.

Murray County girls 176, Gordon Central 187, Sonoraville 191: Amber Lewis took medalist honors at Fields Ferry in Calhoun with a 10-over-par 56 to lead the Lady Indians to the win. Katherin Baynes (58) and Rebekah Wildes (62) also scored for Murray County.
