Entries are now being accepted for the Georgia State Golf Association’s (GSGA) 28th annual Georgia Women’s Team Championship and several other GSGA events.
Entries are also currently open for the Senior Women’s Championship (through Aug. 7), Men’s Senior Championship (through Aug. 7) and the Public Links Championship (through Aug. 21).
The team championship take place Sept. 25-26 at Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris. This event is open to two-person teams of female amateur golfers who are GSGA members, age 18 or older as of Sept. 25 and have a maximum individual USGA Handicap Index of 31.9 and a maximum team differential of eight strokes.
The field will consist of 60 teams — 10 teams with the lowest combined USGA Handicap Indexes compete in the Championship flight (handicap differential requirement does not apply). Remaining teams are determined on a first-come, first-serve basis. The field will be expanded if 80 teams enter, with a maximum of 100 teams.
The format is one round of flighted, four-ball net and one round in scramble format.
Eligible players must enter through the GSGA website (www.gsga.org) by clicking the event registration link. The deadline for entry is Sept. 4.
