Bruins JV baseball topples county rivals

The Northwest Whitfield High School junior varsity baseball team beat Southeast Whitfield 12-2 in a five-inning run-rule game on Wednesday night.

Northwest’s Jake Creswell was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, while Aaron Ball also drove in three as part of a 2-for-3 day at the plate. Walker Maret was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, while Will Brock had a pair of hits with a triple and Caleb Shiflett had a double.

On the mound, Austin Morrison got the win, working four innings with four strikeouts and allowing just two hits.
