Dalton State College volleyball won its third match in a row with a 3-0 win on the road at Brewton-Parker College in Mt. Vernon.

The Roadrunners won 25-16, 25-15 and 25-11.

Dalton State is now 6-10 on the season with eight games remaining in its inaugural season of competition. The Roadrunners take on University of the Cumberlands on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dalton High School.

Individual statistics were not available.

Coach Bruna Langner said she was “very happy” with the play of freshman Karly Newman who played through a shoulder injury, according to a release from the school.

The win comes on the heels of victories over Tennessee Temple and Martin Methodist on Oct. 8 and 11. Saturday’s game is the first of three straight days of action in Dalton. The Roadrunners host The College of Coastal Georgia on Sunday at 11 a.m. and Oakwood University on Monday at 7 p.m. Both games are at the Mack Gaston Community Center.
