Rivals get the best of Dalton in Tennessee

The Dalton Dolphins suffered their first loss of the 2013 Chattanooga Area Swim League season on Thursday night, falling 399-363 to host Signal Mountain in Tennessee.

Both teams compete in the Blue Division, the highest level of CASL competition.

Anthony Calderon led the Dolphins (2-1) with 19 points, while Roman Valdez had 18. Four swimmers — Jacob Queen, Raul Valdez, Reece Bingham and Taylor Dale — scored 17.

Other double-digit scorers were: Alexis Vaughn (16 points), Henry Bethel (14), Patrick Calderon (13), Hannah Smith (13), Oscar Chenard (13), Ethan Young (12), Sean Lee (11), Alex Mashburn (11) and Brooke Haverland (10).

Dalton hosts Tennessee’s Stuart Heights at 6 p.m. Monday at the John Davis Recreation Center.
