Weaver the winner as touring series visits NGS

Randy Weaver was the big winner Saturday at North Georgia Speedway, taking the $4,000 prize in the feature race as the Ultimate Super Late Model Series visited the Murray County dirt track.

Weaver finished ahead of Riley Hickman, while Tom Maddox, Ray Cook and Jeff Smith rounded out the top five in the 23-car field.

The top three finishers in other races: Crate Late Models — Tanner Works, Josh Walker and T.J. Britton; Sportsman — Caleb Patton, Junior Whitener and Wesley Seabolt; A-Hobby — Beau Bice, Justin Walston and Derek Chapman; B-Hobby — David Rogers, Jacob Stewart and Richard Dixon; Pony — Matt Leonard, Ben Arnold and Keith Hackney.

Action returns at North Georgia Speedway on Saturday. The pits open at 4 p.m., the grandstands open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Grandstand tickets for ages 6-11 cost $6 and ages 12 and older are $12. Pit admission is $25.
