Middle School: CHS netters split

— The Christian Heritage Middle School girls tennis team swept past Berean on Thursday and the boys and girls split matches with Collegedale Academy on April 29.

For the girls in the 9-0 win over Berean at Lakeshore Park, the Lady Lions (6-3) took singles wins from No. 1 Beyonce Robinson, 8-0, No. 2 Marlee Ellis, 8-0, No. 3 Sydney McEntire, 8-0, No. 4 Elizabeth Dean, 8-6, No. 5 Morgan Branam, 8-5, No. 6 Julia Johnson, 8-1, and doubles wins from No. 1 Robinson and McEntire, 8-2, No. 2 Ellis and Dean, 8-0, and No. 3 Branam and Johnson, 8-4.

The Lions (9-0) won 6-3 over Collegedale at Dalton Golf and Country Club with singles wins from No. 2 Cal Paige, 8-4, No. 3 Heath Hardaway, 8-2, No. 4 Drake Sanders, 8-2, and doubles wins from No. 1 Patrick Hurney and Paige, 8-4, and Hardaway and Sanders, 8-3. The Lady Lions fell to Collegedale 6-3, taking singles wins from No. 2 Ellis, 8-2, and No. 4 Dean, 8-2, and a doubles win from No. 2 Eliis and Dean, 8-3.

Events that take place on Monday and Tuesday must be received by noon Wednesday for publication; events that take place on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday must be received by noon Sunday for publication. Events reported after the deadline or without complete information may not be published.
