Jamie Jones: Ric Flair coming to Ringgold for show

Here are the notes and news items from the world of pro wrestling: Woooooooooo! “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair is coming to Ringgold.

The wrestling legend and 16-time world champion is scheduled for “Wrestle-Jam” presented by American Wrestling Federation (AWF) on May 30 at The Colonnade Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for a meet and greet. Bell time is 7:30 p.m.

Also on the card are Raven, The Rock’n’Roll Express and TNA’s D.O.C.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $35 for ringside. You can buy tickets at colonnadecenter.tix.com or call (706) 935-9000 or (706) 935-8508.

There are 100 VIP backstage passes available for an additional $25 each and are available only at the AWF (4193 Highway 41 in Ringgold) or at the door if there are any left. Go to awfwow.com for more details.

The Local Corner: TWA Friday Night Brawl runs at 8 p.m. at the TWA Arena off Reed Road in north Whitfield County, about three miles north of the bypass. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12; senior citizens 60 and older with proof of age will be admitted for $3. Kids younger than 6 will be admitted free. Any military member with proper identification will be admitted free. If it’s your birthday, you will be admitted free.

Renegade Championship Wrestling runs at 8 p.m. Saturdays at 806 Second Ave. in Chats-worth.

    In the previous two meetings, North Murray won on penalty kicks.
