ATLANTA The Atlanta Press Club will host 10 live debates this primary election season, giving statewide candidates a chance to debate the issues. The debates will take place July 1, 2, 10 and 13 at Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB), 260 14th Street in Midtown, in front of a live studio audience. Press club members, journalists, college students and supporters are invited to be part of the audience.
The schedule is:
8th Congressional District Democrats online debate*
Tuesday, July 1, from 3 - 3:30 p.m.
Invited candidates include Jim Marshall and Robert Nowak
13th Congressional District Democrats online debate*
Tuesday, July 1, from 4 - 4:30 p.m.
Invited candidates include Donzella James and David Scott
12th Congressional District Democrats
Tuesday, July 1, from 7 - 7:30 p.m.
Invited candidates include John Barrow and Regina Thomas
12th Congressional District GOP
Tuesday, July 1, from 7:30 - 8 p.m.
Invited candidates include Ben Crystal, Ray McKinney and John Stone
4th District Public Service Commission GOP online debate*

* The online debates for the 8th and 13th Congressional Districts and for the Public Service Commission Districts 1 and 4 can be seen live at gpb.org. These debates will be rebroadcast on GPB's statewide radio network on Wednesday, July 2, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The 10th and 12th Congressional and the U.S. Senate debates will be simulcast statewide by GPB radio and be available live online at gpb.org.
The Atlanta Press Club will also tape five local debates at GPB in front of a live studio audience. These debates will air on WPBA on Sunday, July 13.
