Web site improved

ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John W. Oxendine announced that the Insurance Department has improved and redesigned its Website to be more navigable and user friendly.

“Often our Website is the first contact a consumer has with this office,” Oxendine said. “This redesign is intended to improve our communication with Georgia citizens.”

The Department’s Website address is www.gainsurance.org. Consumers can find information on a variety of insurance topics, e-mail questions, file complaints, search for an agent, access the insurance company directory, and even compare auto insurance rates.

In addition, insurance agents may check the status of their license, download applications and other forms, and file those forms online.

Fire service contractors such as sprinkler contractors, LP gas companies and those companies and individuals that handle hazardous materials may download applications for various permits and licenses as well.
