Organizers of the Flavor of Georgia are looking for tasty treats.
The annual food product contest is sponsored by the University of Georgia Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development. The university says it aims to help food entrepreneurs expand the markets for their products and gain publicity.
Registration is open through Feb. 7. Finalist will be invited for a judging and public tasting March 17 and 18.
Finalists in the 2014 contest will be invited to participate in the Governor’s Agricultural Awareness Day in March and other events.
The judging criteria include: flavor, Georgia theme, unique or innovative qualities, commercial appeal, potential market volume and use of locally sourced products.
