NORCROSS — Authorities in suburban Atlanta have arrested a man wanted in a killing more than a decade ago in Michigan.

The FBI and the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office say 42-year-old Ngai Goode of Detroit was arrested Tuesday afternoon. He was wanted on a 2002 murder warrant obtained by investigators from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in Detroit.

FBI agents found Goode at an apartment in Norcross — about 20 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. After a brief standoff, a SWAT team entered and took Goode into custody.

He was being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center to await extradition back to Michigan. It was not immediately clear whether he had a lawyer.
